Olympic Bar Pad

Tim O'Connor is a well respected fighter who has participated in Muay Thai, San Da and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Tim is also assistant coach of the NY San Da team.
On this DVD he present his unique strength and conditioning methods. Tim has used these methods both to prepare himself and his team mates for their fights. The entire team is known for their conditioning.
Tim presents combat sport specific work outs combining body weight, training equipment and partner exercise. There is currenlty nothing like this DVD on the market today. The DVD features dynamic warm ups, body weight strength routines, drills for all MMA techniques (kicks, wrestling, sprawls, etc) and a circuit the NY San Da team uses.
As an added bonus, we've included Tim explaining a kicking drill he uses to get fighters moving and throwing combinations.

2.0 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware!!!, December 30, 2009

Do not buy this item. This Olympic bar pad does not wrap all away around the bar. It does not fit around my Smith Machine bar, my Olympic Bar or even an old generic Olympic Bar I have. It has Velcro that attaches to each other but comes 1 inch short from attaching to each other. I gave it 2 stars because it looks nice but does not function as advertise. I wasted my money so you shouldn't.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great pad, February 1, 2010

This pad is great, it's not too thick, but the foam is dense enough to take the bite out of the barbell when squatting. Because it's not very thick, you can keep the bar close to your body where it should be.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome quality, November 8, 2009
This review is from: Olympic Bar Pad (Sports)
I'm not a huge guy so when I started putting more than 200 lbs on for squats, I started to feel pressure on my spine. My gym had a few tattered squat pads, but I bought this one because of the quality. The foam is dense, which is great because I can put 280 on the bar and it feels just as comfortable as 135 does. Definitely recommended, especially if you put up any substantial weight.
